To celebrate the amazing committment, talent and work of the staff at YMCA WA we hold a Staff Awards night. It is a special time to reflect on the acheivelments of the team, the communities we work in and a great opporutnity to come together to celebrate.
The ceremony was held at Burswood on Swan on 21st October and a wonderful evening was had by all.

PRACTITIONER EXCELLENCE AWARD

The Practitioner Excellence Award recognises the work of a YMCA WA staff member who has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and innovation in their approach, leadership to others and creating positive outcomes for internal or external stakeholders.
PROGRAM EXCELLENCE AWARD
WINNER: The Base @ Belmont
FINALIST: Play in the Park
The Program Excellence Award recognises a centre/program/service which has achieved demonstrable success in community engagement and whose activities are helping people grow in body, mind and spirit.
STAR AWARD
JOINT WINNERS: Laura Dunlop – Youth Engagement Officer, The Base @ Belmont AND Christine Brown – Bookkeeper, Finance
FINALIST: Alysha Sculley – Director, Bridgetown Early Learning Centre
The Star Award recognises the work of a YMCA WA staff member who, over the past 12 months, has demonstrated a commitment to service, teamwork, attitude and reliability and who embodies the YMCA WA.
INNOVATION GRANT
JOINT WINNERS: HQ - Hot Desk Concept AND The Base @ Belmont – Learning Program
FINALISTS: Ashdale OSHC – Shade Innovation & Pilbara Team – Shared Bus Service
The Innovation Grant is part of our commitment to providing a working environment that encourages employee excellence and innovation. This grant will be issued to the centre/program/service presenting the best innovative concept that supports one of our three focus areas: Early Education; Youth Participation or Health & Wellness. The grant is for $20,000 to implement the concept during the following six to twelve months.
